We're excited to announce Mesozoic Labs—an open-source platform for dinosaur-inspired locomotion research through simulation and reinforcement learning.
Our Mission
We use dinosaur-inspired simulated bodies to explore legged locomotion and reinforcement learning. The current project focuses on MuJoCo research models; they are not validated anatomical reconstructions or physical robots.
What We're Building
- Physics Simulations - Articulated MuJoCo models inspired by dinosaur morphology
- RL Training - PPO, SAC, and staged curricula for learning simulated locomotion
- Hardware Roadmap - Future prototypes and sim-to-real validation; no hardware-transfer results are currently published
